Vircomm Architects
Vircomm Architects is dedicated to delivering high quality architectural services to all clients. Service quality consists of timely, cost conscious delivery of permanent excellence in the built environment. The principals of the firm are heavily and personally involved in all projects. We take a team and project based staffing approach, maintaining consistent teams throughout the project, and developing close collaborative relationships with clients and users.
We believe in responsiveness in process and in design. Our architecture is shaped by the goals of the project. We believe that in the long term this helps the architecture shape the experience of the users and residents of our projects. We work toward a setting that helps people work, learn, live, and find delight in their surroundings. Over time buildings change and grow. We take part in this process with rehabilitation work, and create new buildings with the inherent vision to adapt to changing needs. We did the re-design of old buildings such as the Reef Hotel in Noosa that reflects this vision.
Communities, clients, and users offer an indispensable expertise to the public projects we work on. We have developed ways to reach out for greater participation and to make the most of the input we get. We use participatory workshops, public service involvement of the principals and staff, and research to stay connected with the community we serve.
The final product of our work is the built project. Throughout design, construction documents, and construction administration we stress clarity, transparency, and practicality. We work toward predictable results in schedule and budget. In construction we take a team approach to achieving high quality construction.
We offer a truly meaningful in house quality control program. Almost all contract documents are produced on computer. Staff plot and check drawings daily. We use our web site to post up to date drawings for our consultants for downloading and to speed communications between the sister firms.
